Dr. Irizarry grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and attended Cornell University for his undergraduate and veterinary graduate studies. He completed a small animal rotating internship, a surgical specialty internship, and an emergency and critical residency. He became board-certified by the College of the American Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC) in 2010. His professional interests include practical clinical emergency teaching, ultrasound imaging, and performing soft tissue emergency surgeries. He has two daughters and a beautiful wife.
