Dr. Jennifer Short, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Short brings extensive surgical experience and a strong commitment to compassionate care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2007.

After graduation, Dr. Short completed a comprehensive internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, followed by an advanced surgical internship in Connecticut. She then went on to complete a surgical residency on Long Island in 2014. Since then, she has worked as a staff surgeon at a busy specialty referral hospital, performing a wide range of procedures in soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgery.

Dr. Short is a proud member of the Society of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery and values collaboration within the veterinary field to stay at the forefront of surgical innovation.

When she’s not in the operating room, Dr. Short enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her three beloved rescue dogs—Wiggles, Percy, and Lucy.
